Early Life and Quranic Beginnings

Nesma Helal Refai grew up in a Muslim family that encouraged love for the Qur’an from an early age. She was raised in a Qur’anic environment and regularly attended memorization circles at the mosque. With the support of her teachers, she developed a strong connection to the Book of Allah and continued improving her memorization and recitation step by step.

Quranic Studies and Tajweed Learning

By the grace of Allah, Nesma has mastered Qur’an recitation and is close to completing full memorization. She studied Tajweed at Al-Itqan Institute, where she completed all levels and received multiple certificates. She also studied Islamic knowledge, memorized Al-Arba’in An-Nawawiyyah, and 150 hadiths from Sahih Al-Bukhari.

She later joined Iqra’ wa Irtaqi Academy, where she completed additional Tajweed courses and became part of the teaching team. She is currently working toward obtaining her full Ijazah in Qur’an, in shaa’ Allah.

Academic Qualifications and Scholarly Training

Nesma has studied Tajweed under the guidance of qualified teachers and scholars, which gave her a strong foundation in correct Qur’anic recitation. She has also been studying Tajweed in English to better support non-Arabic speaking students.

Teaching Experience and Serving Non-Arabic Speakers

She has experience teaching Qur’an, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to both children and adults. Alhamdulillah, she has worked with non-Arabic speaking students, helping them improve their recitation in a clear and simple way. She uses teaching methods that are suitable for different ages and learning levels.

Teaching Approach and Student Support

Nesma teaches with patience and clarity, focusing on making lessons easy to understand. She adapts her teaching style to each student and uses simple explanations to help them progress with confidence.
